These mages hail from the Zimbabwe Plain of Africa. They seek to understand the totality of existence so they travel in the physical world, the realm of dream spirits & the lands of the dead. They see death & life as stages of the soul that must all be understood. Their closeness to nature makes them adept at shapeshifting & familiar with the were creatures of Africa. They have even taken on the were creature’s duty to cull the herds of humanity by removing those who should no longer live. Other mages call them necromancers, grouping them with practitioners of the black arts. Members of this group tend to keep to themselves & their territorial nature causes conflicts with members of their own group. Although their arts involve many shamanic practices, their outlook does not draw them to the Dreamspeakers.
Along with the Ngoma from the same area, they formed in the mid 1300s as a response to an incursion of Marauders called the War of the Dust Witch.
They are a Disparate group in Sorcerers Crusade. In later years they joined the Euthanatos.
