Hippocrates formed the Cosian Circle in antiquity. It existed during Roman times. The Cosians existed in Renaissance times.

Progenitor Methodologies

Non-mage acolytes are called Technicians.

Convention Book Progenitors (Revised) has an interesting history for the FACADE Engineers. In the Renaissance the Order of Reason gathered wizards known to experiment with immortality. They were called the Chiurgeons & granted security & privacy in exchange for giving immortality to Order of Reason leaders. This never stopped. Today they are a small & very well-funded Methodology.

The first Convention book was the Progenitors. It was 1st Edition & Convention books were supposed to be villain sourcebooks for Storytellers. Revised Edition writers decided they wanted Progenitors to be more moral & likeable.

Pg. 43 Progenitors Revised offers 3 types of clones:

• Type I are the least sophisticated. They look fine but would fail many medical examinations. They mentally unravel after a few years. Medical knowledge & Awareness trait can sense them.
• Type II are perfect copies of humans/animals. They pass medical tests & last a long time. They are used for sensitive infiltrations, long term servants & immortality for Technocrat leaders.
• Type III are small groups (3 or more) that share a Mind pattern. They usually look different. They can think & act in perfect unison. They can be controlled by a FACADE Master from a distance.

Mage Modern books emphasize how supplying high quality clones to the other Conventions gives the clone experts in the Progenitors a lot of influence & security.
