1st Edition, 2nd Edition & Revised Edition state a Postulant is a mage that has achieved mastery of at least one Sphere and serves the Oracles, trying to become one of them. Mage20 doesn’t mention the term. A Postulant could just be a Master who is trying to become an Oracle.
