Craftmason Guilds
Order of Reason pg. 125 describes the guilds. The Chalice & Chisel guilds of Artisans Handbook aren’t here.
- Stone guild is home to the builders. Buildings, bridges, viaducts, etc. are all handled by this guild.
- Scroll guild is the scholars of the Convention. Tutors, librarians, historians & university lecturers are found here. They hire out specialists to a variety of customers to advise on projects.
- Coin guild are the financiers & businessmen who take on projects the High Guild sees as too risky or undesirable. Coin members pay attention to the health of the community where their business operates. They are not as successful in their ventures as the High Guild but they help many customers the High Guild consider unimportant.
- Sword guild is the soldiers. Unlike other militant guilds, they are willing to lead unenlightened troops in battle. They take up causes others consider lost, protect the destitute & put muscle behind their Convention’s concerns.
- Level guild is not about carpentry but politics. They keep a keen eye on Daedalean & Sleeper political events. They are masters of organizing crowds of Sleepers & manipulating revolutions.
- Hemlock guild is the spies & masters of intrigue. They are not as skilled at it as the Ksirafai but they have Sleeper support & dedication. Rather than serve the Order of Reason, they serve their Convention.
- Arrow guild members are idealists who form cabals to help wherever commoners are suffering. They support themselves rather than seek patrons.
