Cosian Guilds

Order of Reason pg. 128 describes the houses. This book repeatedly mentions the Phyloxoi who are a soldier guild but gives no details.

• House of Knives are surgeons who face danger as field medics & also study in secluded universities. They serve members of other Conventions when needed.
• House of Books are medical scholars. Many Galenists are here so it’s no surprise these Cosians study treatises from past ages. They hire their expertise out to those who can pay. Many reside in universities.
• House of Mandrake are experts in herbs, plants & agriculture, the source of many of their medicines. Most are rural & get along quite well with the Craftmasons. Some even learn from the Verbena but do so quietly.
• House of Fire members focus on plagues & diseases. They take great risks to help the sick & gather new knowledge when plague strikes.
• House of Olympus specializes in alchemy & the Matter Sphere. It doesn’t make clear what they try to do with their knowledge.
