Celestial Chorus Sects

Head Chantry is in Rome, Italy.
Great Adytum is the Chorus headquarters Horizon Realm

The Celestial Chorus is very hierarchical and traditional. They have regular meetings. 1st ed.core book says they study for 4 years before taking vows and becoming full members. The current Pontifex Maximus presides over the Curia
Annual Feast of the Gathering commemorates Mentu-hetep bringing everyone together

1st Ed. core shows a separate, secret religion above Sleeper religions (but similar in feel and layout to Catholicism). 2nd Ed. core describes a “meta-religion, meant to encompass all belief systems”. This isn’t very clear. 1st Tradbook shows a mage faction that honors monotheistic religions but treats them like hobbies.

Guide to the Traditions pg. 108-109 does a good job explaining the Celestial Chorus was not the same thing as the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages and certainly didn’t control it.

Revised Ed. portrayed the Chorus as fractious & always arguing. They never accomplish anything & upset all other mages.

Chapter 2 of Trad Book: Celestial Chorus (Revised) offers an interesting idea on gods & Celestines of the Umbra. The One appointed angels to serve as guides, messengers, etc. to help humans. When humans went astray they pulled the angels with them. These angels started believing they were gods, demons, etc.

The modern Celestial Chorus (the Congregation) started in 2nd century BC when the Egyptian Mentu-hetep brought them together in Ikhnaton - 18th Dynasty time of Amenhotep IV
Celestial Chorus got its name in 1461

4 Ages of Chorus History

The Celestial Chorus should have their own heresies that would only make sense to mages.
