Chantry

A stronghold for a group of mages. Some are on Earth while others are in Horizon Realms or more exotic places in the Umbra. Those on Earth are located atop Nodes whenever possible. 1st Edition states most Chantries have a Node & a Horizon Realm (pg. 25). 2nd Edition portrayed many Chantries without Horizon Realms. Revised Edition removed all Horizon Realms. Mage20 states some have Horizon Realms but offers very few examples. Technocrat Chantries are called Constructs while Nephandi Chantries are called Labyrinths.

Technocracy multi-Convention Constructs usually have 4 amalgams: Conservators, Watchmen, Subversives, Delegates. Book of Chantries pg. 83

The Chantries in Book of Chantries describe the place but not the organization of the people who operate there. Initiation rites, how do they choose new members, leadership, rules, communications w/ outside, etc. aren’t described.
