I think it is more along the lines of letting go of some of the conscious approaches and learning to be attuned to the unconscious world. |Is it being able to gain infomation about someone straight away after |meeting with them, where does this info come from a universal conciousness |or their aura or what? Information is over-valued. The kind of thing you are talking about does enter into the picture as I see it, but not for 'information'. Rather it is a deep self-knowing which allows us to maneuver the sometimes confusing byways of the world without rational support for everything we do. |> Encountering the evil in such a manner, it immediately ceases having the |> strict qualities of 'evil' per se. Doing nothing, the Sage completes the Great Work. |I don't quite understand this is doing nothing completing the great work, |does doing nothing overcome evil or counteract an evil person? See alt.philosophy.taoism, specifically wrt 'wu-wei'. |When I visited a Tao center here in melbourne my freind told me that when |they are thanked then they should say don't thank me thank the universe |(paraphrasing chineese translation). | |Does this mean if one is not resposible for good deads, is one not |responsible for evil deeds? I can't respond for them, though if they are taoist religious, anything may be possible. As I see it, 'good' and 'evil' are relative evaluatives, not Cosmic Assessments. |> The reconciliation of vision with practicality occurs in the realization |> of the tao. Crowley's texts are thick in this way. I'm surprised nobody on this elist has composed a basic reference file for online Thelemic texts and forums. Perhaps that is in the works, but not for me right away. You can find some decent references at: http://www.portal.com/~tyagi/magi.html Good luck. Xiwangmu tyagi
