Convivo Holmiensis
By Anders Sandberg
Per Tempestem, Ad Lucem
When asked to list the great old chantries of Europe, Convivo Holmiensis is seldom mentioned even by European scholars. Despite this it is one of the oldest European Chantries still in existence. It was founded in 1346 and has produced several internationally renowned mages. The reasons for its obscurity are threefold: first, the chantry is located in remote Scandinavia, far from the major chantries of the continent. Second, during most of its existence it has been besieged on all sides by the forces of the Technocracy, making it paranoid and secretive. And third, despite its long history it has never achieved the great power of the continental chantries. Just like the Swedish weather, Convivo Holmiensis has passed from winter to winter with only short and rainy summers inbetween.
